The power of cod liver oil

Cod liver oil is back with a vengeance. And that's a good thing! Although cod liver oil is sometimes still linked to the bad taste that the substance often had in the 1950s, and there are still conflicting opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of consuming a lot of vitamin A, fortunately more and more people are rediscovering the power of cod liver oil (as well asthe power of vitamin A). Rosita’s high-quality cod liver oil is particularly rich in vitamins A and D, iodine, phosphorus, omega-4, 6, 7, 9, 11 fatty acids and in omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Cod liver oil, an ancient remedy

During the 1950s, almost every child was given a daily spoonful of cod liver oil during the winter months, an oil that many still remember as that filthy stuff of childhood. It served mainly to support resilience and as a remedy for “the English disease”, or rickets (bone deformity), in children. Cod liver oil versus fish oil

The terms cod liver oil and fish oil are often mentioned in the same breath, but there are clear differences. After all, cod liver oil is a fish oil, but not every fish oil is equal to cod liver oil! Regular fish oil is rich in the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA and is usually produced by pressing whole fish, after which the oil is extracted, which is then refined and sometimes enriched with vitamins. Cod liver oil, on the other hand, is only extracted from the livers of fish such as cod, haddock or dragon fish, and is not refined. Cod liver oil, moreover, is rich in not only the omega-3 fish fatty acids EPA and DHA, but also vitamins A and D and nutrients including phosphorus and iodine.

In fact, cod liver oil is the richest and most natural form of fish oil. In its purest form, it is a colorless or pale yellow oil that smells of fresh or smoked fish. Cod liver oil is a popular supplement for children because of the vitamin D it contains. This vitamin is important for the teeth in children and benefits the skeleton and immune system. User Instructions

Take one half to one teaspoon per day. Gently shake before use. For maximum and durable freshness, it is advisable to keep EVCLO in the freezer until you want to use the oil. After opening refrigeration suffices. The oil remains in excellent condition for more than 3 months after opening.

Note: after opening the cod liver oil can thicken and become cloudy in the refrigerator. This is a normal phenomenon and does not affect EVCLOquality. This product is stored in frozen condition in our store up to the moment of shipping.
